Globe Eye Foundation is a voluntary not for profit organization founded by a group of ophthalmologists who has served for long years in Aravind Eye Hospital - Madurai, Sankara Nethralaya Chennai, Shankara Eye Foundation - Coimbatore & Joseph Eye Hospital - Tirchy with sole intention of catering to the needs of poor and deserving blind population of Andhra Pradesh. With generous help of Bollineni charitable trust and many well wishers like you, we have established the first ever Superspeciality Eye Hospital in coastal Andhra where eye care of good quality was almost non-existent.

It's a matter of pride and joy for us as in just under one year we were able to restore vision for more than 3000 poor patients. As a policy 40% of all services offered by our institution are being provided free of charge.

The Lions Clubs International has recognized our institution as their base hospital for this region, which is an affirmation of highest degree of excellence in ophthalmic care.

We salute on this occasion and express our sincere thanks to you and entire community of our well-wishers. On behalf of those deserving blind population, we appeal for your unstinted support all through. We have many miles to go as you would appreciate, with continuous advancement of technology in this field.

Our Mission is for Better Vision

  • Promoting vision by providing quality eye care to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion and economic background through our community outreach programme.

  • Teaching ophthalmic and paramedical services of undergraduates, postgraduates and doctoral level with the latest state-of-the-art facilities.

  • Conducting basic and clinical research on various complicated ophthalmic diseases in collaboration with well-known institutions.

In pursuit of Our Mission For Better Vision we have many projects of significance dedicated to the community adding value to our array of services. Exclusive pediatric ophthalmology project; community based Diabetic Retinopathy program and cataract eradication program to sight a few. We appeal to you to be a part of our Mission For Better Vision. There are thousands of unfortunate beings awaiting your support.
